Construction

The Martin Arm system mounts via a table rail clamp and extends through a series of lockable articulating joints that allow the blade holder to be positioned precisely in three-dimensional space around the wound. Each joint locks independently to maintain position under retraction load throughout extended surgical procedures.

Applications

Used in abdominal surgery, colorectal procedures, thoracic surgery, orthopedic approaches, and plastic surgery requiring sustained tissue retraction without a dedicated surgical assistant.

Sterilization

Fully autoclavable. Inspect all joint locking mechanisms before each use for smooth positive engagement. Clean the table rail clamp, arm joints, and blade holder with enzymatic detergent. Lubricate joints periodically to maintain smooth articulation.
